Executive coaching

“Coaching is unlocking people’s potential to maximize their own performance. It is more often helping them to learn rather than teaching them.” John Whitmore

Why should I work with an Executive Coach?

Because you want space to really think... time to be heard / really listen, and a way to look at things differently.

The Capability Farm provides you with an environment of reflection, support, and structure - our diversity of experience and approach gives you complete flexibility to customise our services around your exact needs.

Our ultimate goal is to nurture. You will see this throughout our culture, frameworks and the space we create - supporting you to ultimately gain insight, improve performance, clarity and direction, and achieve your goals within a structured timeframe.

How will an Executive Coach help me?

An executive coach is a trusted confidant for the coachee. They should:

  • provide an environment in which to think

  • ask questions and challenge assumptions

  • actively listen with focus that aides genuine reflection

  • help achieve clarity

  • provide resources if required

  • conduct confidential interviews to help a client gain self-awareness

  • help to establish goals for developing opportunities

  • enable and support accountability in achieving these goals

What can I expect from Executive Coaching?

Typically, there are a number of phases to the Coaching process. These will be agreed between the Coach, the Coachee and the Organisation (where appropriate).

The structure may vary, but the phases will usually include:

  • investigation or assessment

  • exploration

  • generate and review options and solutions

  • plan actions, measures and reviews

Individuals can engage our services directly, with complete flexibility to suit their needs. Organisations often hire coaches as part of an Executive Development Programme.

There are many Coaching models - GROW, OSCAR, CREATE, COACH, FUEL, SOAR to name but a few – they all offer similar efforts to discover and understand the coachee’s perspective and reality. At The Capability Farm, we use a variety of these models alongside our diverse skillsets and toolkits to create our own, unique approach.

Where can my coaching take place, and how long will it take?

It can happen anywhere - virtual meetings, face to face sessions, over the phone or even outdoors. It can be particularly effective during a brisk walk in the fresh air!

The length of the executive coaching process will typically be from six months to one year, encompassing one session a month. This may not sound like a lot - but with actions to complete, assessments & interviews, and time needed for reflection and action after each session - it will soon fly by.
